About the Role:
Our client is seeking a highly organized and detail‑driven Payroll Specialist to oversee end to end payroll processing for a multi state employee population. This position is well suited for an individual who excels in a fast paced environment, demonstrates exceptional accuracy, and brings hands on experience with Paychex Flex and ADP. The Payroll Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring timely payroll execution, regulatory compliance, and strong internal controls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process semi monthly payroll for 50 to 80 multi-state employees in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Utilize Paychex Flex and ADP platforms to execute payroll tasks, troubleshoot issues, and maintain accurate employee data.
- Calculate and process monthly commission payments in accordance with company policies and compensation structures.
- Administer and manage garnishments, including setup, tracking, and timely remittance.
- Maintain payroll records, audit data for accuracy, and support internal and external reporting needs.
- Partner with HR and Finance to ensure smooth payroll operations and provide timely support for employee inquiries.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of payroll experience in a multi-state environment.
- Proficiency with Paychex Flex and ADP payroll systems.
- Strong understanding of payroll regulations, garnishments, and commission processing.
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.
