Summary
This is a full-time position that is responsible for gauging and pumping oil in storage tanks and for regulating flow of oil into pipelines at wells, tank farms, or terminals. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities
- Measuring, sampling, and testing crude oil for gauging at lease tanks and keeping records.
- Gauging equipment, supplies and technology.
- Checking for any environmental issues on leases and reporting any problems.
- General pump maintenance, and pigging of lines.
- Being able to work rotating shifts, which may include weekends and holidays.
Qualifications
- Prior experience or training in measuring, sampling, and testing crude oil for gauging lease tanks, as well as knowledge of gauging equipment, supplies, and technology; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
- Possession of a valid driver's license is required; a commercial driver's license (CDL) with hazardous materials (Hazmat) certification may be required at some locations.
- English language fluency, verbal and written.
- Acceptable results of a pre-employment background check and drug/alcohol test.
