Position Overview

The Tasting Room Manager is the front-line ambassador of the True Standard experience. Reporting directly to the owners, this role is responsible for leading day-to-day operations in the tasting room—from staff management and guest service to inventory control and event coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations and Team Leadership

  • Oversee daily operations, including the cocktail bar and kitchen. Hire, lead, train, and develop a high-performing team, ensuring exceptional service and adherence to health, safety, and cleanliness standards.

Customer Service & Event Coordination

  • Provide a premier guest experience by addressing customer needs promptly. Oversee execution of private events, coordinating with Event Manager and supervision of event staff.

Financial Management

  • Control costs, and drive profitability through efficient labor management, inventory control, and waste reduction. Set and track sales goals, analyze revenue, and identify strategies to increase profitability.

Inventory & Menu Development

  • Collaborate on cocktail menu updates, sourcing seasonal and local ingredients. Oversee inventory management, purchasing, and maintain supplier relationships to ensure timely restocking.

Compliance and Licensing

  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including maintaining valid liquor licenses and staff adherence to service and safety protocols.

Marketing & Community Engagement

  • Partner with marketing to build community relationships and develop promotional events enhancing our brand presence.

Staff Hiring, Development and Training

  • Conduct regular staff performance reviews, encourage career development, and uphold service standards through ongoing training and clear performance expectations.



Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs from floor, to stand for extended periods, assist with setup, and move supplies or furniture as needed.


Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a management role within a cocktail-focused hospitality environment, with prior bartending experience.
  • Beverage Knowledge: Awareness of current cocktail trends and mixology.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to hire, train, and lead diverse teams, delivering consistent and high-quality service.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written skills for interaction with staff and customers.
  • Customer-Centric: Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Time Management: Strong multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Sales Skills: Experience in developing strategies to drive revenue growth.
  • Tech Proficiency: Familiarity with POS systems and scheduling software.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
