Job Qualifications:
· High School Diploma or GED.
· Training and/or experience with insurance companies preferred.
· Ability to demonstrate proficiency in computer skills, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet.
· Prior experience with medical billing and coding is preferred.
Job Duties:
- The ability to obtain and verify accurate insurance information for customers
- Ability to ensure payment for services prior to the customer being seen
- Verify that the assigned therapist/program is credentialed with the individual's insurance
- Ability to be proactive and to prioritize work tasks
- Ability to function effectively as a member of a team that may include multiple programs, locations, departments as well as external organizations and insurance companies.
- Understand how trauma affects an individual and know effective ways to respond to individuals who have experienced it
- Ability to effectively communicate in a way the client can understand
- Maintain all IBHS and AKC billing along with authorizations for these programs
