Head Girls Soccer Coach -- Girard City Schools

POSITION:   

• Head Girls Soccer Coach

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Preferred 10 years club or high school soccer coaching experience.
• Preferred head soccer coaching experience.
• Preferred three years coaching athletes ages 14-18.
• Must have knowledge, expertise, time and ability to develop successful high school program.
• Must have high energy level and willingness to commit to the development of the program both in and out of season.  This should include a program for strength and conditioning.
• Must have record of positive community development.
• Must be willing to work with the community in developing a strong feeder program.
• Must have comprehensive knowledge of all elements of the sport; yet committed to personal growth and development.
• Must be willing to stay updated with the new trends in soccer by attending clinics, viewing videos, etc.
• Should be an effective communicator and motivator.
• Must be willing to promote his/her program as well as those of the total school program
• Must be willing to communicate with other head coaches so as to be proactive in the sharing of athletes and facilities
• Must demonstrate the organizational skills and administrative skills necessary to coach
• Must demonstrate a willingness to work with the administration, athletic director, and board approved GAA booster group.
• Must work closely with athletic director and building principal to promote academic achievement and positive character development in his/her athletes.
• Must be a role model and demonstrate a strong value structure.                               
• Must have or be able to obtain the following valid coaching certificates:
  • Ohio Pupil Activity Permit
  • Fundamentals of Coaching
  • First Aid Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
  • Concussion in Sports Certificate
  • Sudden Cardiac Arrest Certificate
  • Mental Health Certificate
  • Bullying and Hazing Certificate
• Must have successful BCI and FBI background checks.
• Must have successful drug test.
