Membership & Marketing Manager

Summary: Coordinates and administers membership communications, marketing campaigns and provides administrative support to the General Manager by performing the following duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Prepares and edits correspondence, communications, presentations and other documents for the General Manager.
  • Answer and screens telephone calls and arranges conference calls.
  • Schedules appointments and meetings and maintains the General Manager’s calendar.
  • Assists General Manager in coordinating various integrated communication and marketing activities to attract new members and events that engage and retain existing members.
  • Develops and maintains desktop publishing, membership handbook, rate cards, newsletters, brochures and other materials related to marketing, to ensure that the communications reflect the brand of the Club accurately.
  • Produces sales proposals and contracts as directed by General Manager.
  • Updates and maintains membership database and develops monthly membership reports.
  • Promotes the Club’s social event facilities to members and guests.
  • Manages and updates online social media accounts for marketing purposes.
  • Maintains promotional materials by inventorying stock, placing orders and verifying receipt of materials.
  • Sorts and distributes incoming mail.
  • Conducts research, assembles and analyzes data to prepare reports and documents.
  • Greets scheduled visitors.
  • Organizes and maintains an accurate file system and files correspondence and other records.
  • Handles confidential matters requiring discretion and judgement.
  • Adheres to all Club policies and procedures.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Certificates/Licenses: State of Florida Notary Public preferred.

Education and/or Experience: Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers, members/guests, vendors or employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of spreadsheet, word processing, and publishing software. Familiarity with social media websites.
