The Returns Coordinator is responsible for managing product returns in collaboration with customers and TruTech Tools vendors. This role ensures accurate processing, documentation, and tracking of returned products, while coordinating with the accounting department to issue full or partial refunds as appropriate.
Description
- Deliver exceptional customer service by promptly addressing inquiries and maintaining strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business.
- Process customer returns and coordinate product returns to manufacturers, documenting defects and ensuring accurate inventory adjustments and credit issuance.
- Obtain Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) from manufacturers and maintain detailed records of returned items.
- Ship products in accordance with manufacturer protocols and track delivery status using shipping software.
- Input orders for customers related to replacement of units returned.
- Understand and apply manufacturer warranty policies.
- Evaluate returned products for potential resale as used items.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with internal departments.
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and text in a timely manner.
Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.), ERP systems, and web-based tools.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proven time management and organizational skills tracking multiple projects status, follow up and deadlines.
- Technical knowledge of HVAC/R tools is a plus but not required.
- Prior customer service experience is preferred.
- Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
Salary
$18.5 - $20 per hour
