CAD Data Technical Specialist

Position summary:

Perform all CAD system data transfer for Tier 1 plants and suppliers. Communication to the appropriate stakeholders. Perform OMS document registration and drawing release. Generate POs for license purchases.

Qualifications/Essential Skills and Experience:

Associate degree or technical education in an engineering related field 2 years experience with Catia V5 or equivalent

3 years experience in technical engineering data management experience Proficient in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint

Excellent Written and verbal communication skills Detail Oriented

Be able to multi-task and maintain professional demeanor in a fast-pace environment

  • Use correct drawing, parts list contents to support project development Efficiently access drawing, parts list, etc in Document management system Has knowledge of internal and customer drawing release process
  • Ability to utilize Bill of Material, Control Point and Engineering change management to support customer and TS drawing request from all stakeholder
• Data Management

Communicate with customers and plant and distribute drawing, Bill of Material and Engineering change documents cross the stakeholders

Manage internal and external drawings, Specification, Parts List, Feature, PON sheet, DFMEA, MP Transfer Document in Data Management System

Accurately perform drawing release in Data Management System

Monitor and investigate design change on internal/external Drawing Change Report Monitor drawings released from head office in Data Management System and re-release to related stakeholders

Monitor and update internal drawing release schedules and reporting release performance Troubleshoot data concerns

Perform data transfer; auto web, customer specific drawing exchange system, FTP as a backup

Check and compare 2D CAD drawings and 3D models to identify changes efficiently. Distribute HES release notifications across stakeholders

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Environmental conditions - Open office environment. May be exposed to moderate noise levels.
