JOB SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:
The Director of CSC will oversee the comprehensive operations of a variety of behavioral health services and urgent care services for mental health crises. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care across multiple service lines, managing multidisciplinary teams, and fostering collaboration with community organizations and healthcare providers. The director will ensure regulatory compliance, the effectiveness of programs through data analysis, and continuous improvement in treatment protocols and outcomes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee the daily operations of a 35-bed crisis stabilization center, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Manage a grant-funded budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and compliance with funding requirements.
- Lead a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including Nurse practitioners, nurses, social workers, and therapists, to provide comprehensive crisis intervention and stabilization services.
- Develop and implement evidence-based protocols and treatment plans to address acute mental health crises.
- Collaborate with State stakeholders, local behavioral systems, community organizations, healthcare providers, and law enforcement to enhance service delivery and patient support.
- Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness through data analysis and outcome measurement, implementing improvements as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards, maintaining the highest level of patient care and safety.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Education:
- Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP)with Psychiatry Specialty or a related field.
- Doctoral degree (e.g., Psych. D, Ph.D., or DNP) is a plus, especially for leadership in clinical programs.
- Dual certified FNP / PMHNP is preferred.
Certifications:
- Licensed in the state (PMHNP/FNP or equivalent) with the ability to provide supervision to clinical staff.
- Certification or eligibility for certification in relevant behavioral health or addiction treatment programs (e.g., Certified Addiction Specialist, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, etc.).
- Crisis intervention and management certifications (e.g., CPR, First Aid, DEA, or similar) are required.
Experience:
- At least 7-10 years of progressive experience in behavioral health, mental health, or addiction treatment services, with at least 5 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Proven experience in managing diverse clinical programs, such as outpatient mental health services, substance use disorder treatment programs, intensive outpatient programs (IOP/PHP), and crisis stabilization centers.
- Strong background in managing multidisciplinary teams (e.g., psychiatrists, psychologists, counselors, nurses, social workers) and fostering collaboration.
- Significant experience with budget management, resource allocation, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Experience in the implementation and management of evidence-based treatment protocols.
- Prior experience working with government or grant-funded programs is a plus, especially managing substantial budgets and funding requirements.
- Knowledge and experience working with community organizations, law enforcement agencies, and healthcare providers to enhance service delivery.
