What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner position at Tullahoma Pediatrics, PLLC/Manchester Pediatrics?
Tullahoma Pediatrics is seeking a skilled and compassionate Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA) to provide a unique blend of primary care and behavioral health services to pediatric patients.
This role is ideal for a provider who is passionate about treating the whole child — physically, mentally, and emotionally. You’ll diagnose and manage health conditions, deliver preventive care, and support children and families navigating behavioral and emotional challenges.
You'll work alongside a collaborative team of pediatricians, nurses, and care coordinators committed to delivering patient-centered, team-based care in a Rural Health Clinic and PCMH-certified setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic pediatric health conditions
- Provide routine well-child visits and developmental screenings
- Conduct behavioral health evaluations and manage treatment for conditions such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, and mood disorders
- Develop and manage individualized treatment plans
- Educate patients and families on wellness, development, behavior, and prevention
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary staff for coordinated care
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR
- Participate in quality improvement efforts and PCMH standards
Qualifications
- Licensed APRN (Pediatric or Family) or Physician Assistant in the state of Tennessee
- Experience in pediatrics and/or behavioral health strongly preferred
- Active or eligible DEA registration
- Excellent communication, clinical judgment, and patient rapport skills
- Team-oriented mindset with a proactive, compassionate approach
- Willingness to serve rural and underserved populations
Work Schedule & Locations
- Primary location: Tullahoma, TN
- Occasional travel to Manchester or Fayetteville offices as needed
- Training during credentialing will take place based on Medical Director availability at any clinic location
- Clinic hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- One evening per week (until 7:00 PM) is required to support extended hours
- Saturday clinic coverage may be required on a rotating basis during sick season
- Participation in after-hours call rotation may be expected
