Tulsa Remote is an initiative of the George Kaiser Family Foundation designed to enhance Tulsa's talented and successful workforce by bringing diverse, bright, and driven new individuals to the city. Participants in the Tulsa Remote program are integrated into the community through various collaborations and networking opportunities with the ultimate goal of retaining them in the Tulsa area for the long term. The Tulsa Remote program and community have experienced a high level of success and the program is rapidly expanding.
Position Summary
Alumni Integration Specialists are key members of the Member & Alumni Experience team who are an essential part of engaging and integrating alumni of Tulsa Remote into the Tulsa community in an effort to continue to retain them as a resident beyond their 12-month commitment to Tulsa Remote. This role involves working with Tulsa Remote alumni and a variety of local professionals and organizations to ensure alumni have the resources needed to achieve their personal and professional goals in Tulsa. In this role, your ability to listen, engage, share resources, and connect with a diverse group of people is paramount. Tulsa Remote is scaling as an organization, therefore, a capacity for flexibility and a capacity to adapt to new processes is a must-have.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Fully understand the mission and values of Tulsa Remote as well as what the Tulsa community has to offer, and effectively create opportunities for alumni to connect and engage with the city of Tulsa.
- Manage key aspects of the Tulsa Remote Ambassador program.
- Support the events team in the development and successful execution of Tulsa Remote-sponsored events and collaborative events with community partners by attending and engaging with Tulsa Remote alumni.
- Support logistics and implementation of alumni events.
- Remain organized while managing multiple projects and deadlines.
- Keep up-to-date records of their status within the program, unique needs, and engagement activities within Salesforce and other Tulsa Remote databases.
- Coordinate and facilitate small-scale Alumni office hours and info sessions focused on community impact and resource awareness that is inclusive of all alumni.
- Facilitate 1 on 1 meetings with Alumni to support their integration into the community and provide resources relevant to their needs with follow up as needed.
- Facilitate Alumni interviews to gather information on their Tulsa Remote experience and future plans.
- Support the Events team’s planning to ensure that alumni events are inclusive of alumni needs.
- Engage daily within the Slack database to share resources, local events, and answer Alumni questions when relevant to the Tulsa Remote program.
Requirements
Qualifications Education & Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent required. Advanced degree in related fields preferred.
- 2-3 years of professional work experience in client management, case management, or other social services-related environments.
- Demonstrated engagement in the community, knowledge about Tulsa history, and familiarity with a wide range of civic organizations, services, businesses, etc.
- Has strong Tulsa connections and familiarity with non-profits, civic organizations, and other community leaders.
- As knowledge of the local community & resources is a requirement, applicants who have lived in Tulsa for a year or more are preferred.

- Must be comfortable with ambiguity and evolution; including the positions, roles, responsibilities, and the organization's priorities and projects.
- Must be willing to learn and adapt quickly in a continually evolving work environment.
Pay Rate
- Anticipated starting hourly rate $22.00 to $25.00 per hour
Work Environment
- Hybrid work model - Flexible based on roles and responsibilities.
- Ability to work weekends, evenings, and non-traditional hours on occasion.
- Local travel to various worksites may be required. Reliable transportation is a requirement.
