Maintenance Technician
Position Summary:
We’re seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep, repair, and safe operation of mechanical bulk material handling systems. This role plays a critical part in ensuring equipment runs efficiently to meet operational demands.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair a range of bulk material handling systems including conveyors, drive motors, pulley assemblies, and overhead cranes.
- Perform mechanical installations, alignments, and structural assembly of equipment using bolts, welds, rivets, or other fastening methods.
- Operate and maintain welding and cutting tools (stick welding, cutting torch) to support fabrication and repair tasks as needed.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance such as lubrication, adjustment of moving parts, and verification of safety systems.
- Utilize forklifts, hand tools, electric meters, and other equipment necessary for diagnostics and repair.
- Work collaboratively with maintenance crews, following supervisor instructions to ensure smooth daily operations including crane cable maintenance, greasing of critical components, and vessel discharge activities.
- Remain adaptable to perform various assigned duties and assist team members as needed.
Qualifications:
- 2–5 years of experience maintaining conveying and material handling systems.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and familiarity with common maintenance tools and procedures.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, and overtime as required by operational needs.
- Valid driver’s license required; must be able to obtain a TWIC card.
- Reliable attendance and a team-oriented attitude with a strong work ethic.
Salary : $24 - $28
