What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Technician position at Turf Doctor of Birmingham, Inc.?
Description
Manage a route providing residential or/or commercial clients with turf and ornamental management services, as well as pest control/prevention services. Provide professional, friendly service to clients; work to build strong relationships and solve problems and recommend actions to prevent future turf, ornamental and pest problems. Acquire and use knowledge of fertilizers, weed controls and other products used, and experience in mixing and using these products for lawn, tree/shrub care and pest control. Operate spraying equipment, spreaders, bait gun, power fogger and other tools in performance of duties.
Requirements
Maintain a valid drivers’ license and be insurable by our fleet insurance carrier. Ability to pass a drug screen. Knowledge of grasses, tree/shrubs, weeds is helpful. Able to work independently and without direct supervision. Must be able to organize work and complete duties timely. Use computer based applications on electronic tablet. Regularly required to stand, walk long distance, stoop, kneel, reach, lift, push and move up to 50lbs consistently. Must be able to walk while having a 30 lb backpack sprayer strapped on the body.
