TITLE: Principal
REPORTS TO: Superintendent of Schools
JOB GOALS:
To provide leadership in developing, achieving, and maintaining a strong educational program for students and provide high quality professional development for all school staff.Lunenburg Public Schools is seeking a dynamic, visionary leader to serve as elementary school principal. Turkey Hill Elementary School, with an approximate population of 350 students in grades 3-5, employs 53 members. The successful applicant will possess a background rich in teaching and administrative experience, a strong work ethic, extraordinary communication skills and the ability to inspire/foster academic excellence.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A Master’s Degree or higher as well as appropriate Massachusetts Educator License is required.
Five (5) years teaching experience and five (5) years administration experience.
Demonstrated leadership with building a positive inclusive school climate and culture; data use for continuous improvement; and staff evaluation. Knowledge of master schedule development, MTSS, staff development, and professional learning communities.
COMPENSATION: A competitive salary, commensurate with experience, will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
