The Quality Assurance Technician makes an impact by
- Monitoring, sampling, testing, and recording results for fluid (milk, cream, drinks), frozen (ice cream, yogurt), and ingredients (raw/incoming, in-process, pasteurized, and finished product
- Generating milk and mix formulation sheets and coordinating sampling and testing of the same for the Pasteurizer Operator and Mix Blend Operator
- Tasting raw ingredient, in process, and finished product samples for expected flavor characteristics
- Monitoring associates to assure that duties are performed in compliance with all corporate and regulatory, quality, allergen, food safety, GMP, GLP, and safety requirements
- Performing daily QA audit of plant processes
- Maintaining proper documentation of lab test results in lab data management system and on necessary paperwork, as required.
- Assisting with R&D program, including maintenance of formulating and assisting in start-up of new products and processes
- Performing simple maintenance and calibration of lab equipment

- High School diploma or equivalent
- Laboratory Experience and/or actively pursuing a degree in a science-related discipline.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Strong oral and written communication skills

- Bachelors Degree in Science related field with a preference for Food Science, Dairy Science, or Microbiology
- Excellent computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
