Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Welder to join our team in Bullhead City, AZ, specializing in the repair and maintenance of heavy mining equipment. The ideal candidate will be experienced in welding techniques suitable for high-stress, high-wear environments and have hands-on knowledge of mining or construction equipment. This role is critical to minimizing equipment downtime and ensuring operational continuity at our mining site.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform welding and fabrication on heavy mining equipment, including haul trucks, loaders, crushers, conveyors, and excavators.
Diagnose and repair cracks, breaks, and wear damage to frames, booms, buckets, and other components.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and repair manuals to determine best repair methods.
Operate various welding machines and cutting tools (MIG, TIG, Stick, oxy-acetylene torch, plasma cutters, etc.).
Conduct field and shop repairs as needed in varying conditions.
Collaborate with mechanics and maintenance crews to support broader repair efforts.
Ensure all welding work is completed according to safety standards and mine regulations.
Maintain welding equipment and keep work areas clean and organized.
Document repairs and complete daily work orders accurately and timely.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required.
Certification in welding strongly preferred.
Minimum 3 years of welding experience, preferably in mining, heavy equipment, or industrial settings.
Proficient in arc welding, MIG, TIG, and oxy-acetylene welding.
Ability to work from heights, in confined spaces, and in outdoor environments.
Strong understanding of metal properties, layout, and fabrication techniques.
Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
Valid driver's license required; CDL is a plus.
Salary : $55,000 - $85,000
