JOB TITLE: Case Manager
REPORTS TO: Treatment Courts’ Supervisor
POSITION: At-will Full-Time Position, Includes Benefits - Grant Funded
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of active participants within the Tuscola Adult Mental Health Court, Tuscola Juvenile Mental Health Court, and/or Thumb Regional Sobriety Court
- Provide case management services and supervision
- Link/refer participants to applicable community agencies
- Monitor drug/alcohol test results
- Verify mental health/substance abuse treatment attendance and participation
- Prepare review hearing reports for the Court and team members
- Report progress and participant non-compliance issues/violations to the Court
- Appear and report at judicial review hearings and violation hearings as required
- Maintain regular contact with necessary stakeholders/community partners
- Enter necessary information in the DCCMIS database
- Assist with program development
- Other duties as assigned
Required Education and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, social work, or related field or equivalent experience
- At least 6 months of experience in an area of criminal justice and substance abuse in a counseling, case management, or similar capacity preferred
- Candidates with prior knowledge of the criminal justice system and a demonstrated proficiency in handling probationers will be preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37.50 per week
