Homeschool Teacher Position – Central/Kern Area (El Paso)

Tutor Doctor El Paso is seeking a committed and experienced homeschool teacher to work with two bright and creative students (ages 13 and 11) in the Central/Kern area.

Location: Central/Kern, El Paso, TX

Schedule: Monday–Friday, full-time (30 hours/week)

Contract: 9–10 months (September–June)

Compensation

• Pay: $32–$35/hour (based on experience and qualifications)
• Contract Type: 9–10 month commitment (with potential to continue in summer)

Role

The teacher will deliver structured homeschool instruction in elementary and middle school level subjects (reading, writing, and math), support curriculum implementation, and help foster an engaging learning environment tailored to each child’s needs.

Requirements

• Teaching certificate preferred but not required
• Experience working with students with dyslexia and high-functioning autism is essential
• Experience teaching elementary and middle school levels
• Strong communication skills with parents and the ability to track and report progress
• Comfort with technology (including digital learning tools, online resources, and animation software familiarity is a plus)
• Creative approach to keeping lessons engaging and accessible

Contract Details

• 9–10 month contract
• Monday–Friday schedule
• Daily session reporting required to track hours, content covered, and student progress

Pay: $32.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 30 per week
