Dock Clerk
Summary
A Dock Clerk is responsible for routine clerical and data entry functions that support the production teams. This position will report to the Materials Manager and is in Waterloo, Iowa.
Essential Functions

- Distribute, assign, and complete warehouse management system tasks
- Monitor required process completion standards to ensure on-time delivery schedules
- Ensure all deliveries are dispatched promptly, accurately, and with all necessary documentation
- Accurately process paperwork, gather and verify data, and transfer data into a standard format
- Generate correspondence, respond to routine inquiries, and perform a variety of clerical duties
- Communicate issues to appropriate TVS SCS personnel
- Safely and efficiently operate material handling equipment (forklift) as needed
- Perform housekeeping tasks such as sweeping and removing scrap, pallets, cardboard, etc.
- Regular and reliable attendance at work

Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee regularly sits on a powered forklift and is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The associate may occasionally be required to lift 51 pounds, anything greater than 51 pounds requires assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
This job is performed in a busy warehouse environment with high forklift traffic. Warehouses are subject to seasonal temperatures. Steel-toed shoes, Safety Glasses, and Vests are required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Full Time, Non-Exempt. Schedule flexibility for extended or unplanned work hours is required.
Travel
No travel is required between locations.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and or ERP systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- 2 years of experience operating a forklift in a busy warehouse environment
- Strong data entry and organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and work under deadlines in a team environment
- Ability to handle driver-facing interactions as a TVS SCS representative
- OSHA-endorsed forklift certification or ability to become certified
- Familiarity with freight carriers, BOLs, and shipping procedures preferred
- Hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment involving tire and wheel operations is strongly preferred.
