Trucking Division Manager

Twin City Outdoor Services is seeking a full-time Trucking Division Manager to fulfill dispatch & operations duties within our Trucking Division. The Trucking Division Manager has a key role in assuring that the division’s operations are run efficiently, and that the trucking division is successful in meeting timelines/objectives during our Winter and Summer seasons. We are looking to hire a reliable team member that has substantial driving and supervisory experience to positively represent TCOS in the marketplace. TCOS is one of the most desirable Truck Brokers in the Twin City area, working for some of the largest companies that offer all types of work from excavation to paving.

Essential Duties Summary

· Create and maintain lasting working relationships with new and existing trucking companies and customers

· Take truck orders from customers daily and communicate effectively with brokered trucking companies

· Prepare and maintain trucking relevant reports

· Manage two internal truck driver positions within the Trucking Division

· Manage all aspects of the de-icing of the commercial parking lots we service

· Create and adjust salt routes for the winter season

· Manage all aspects of salt substations to include bulk salt purchasing and acquisition

Required Qualifications

· Must possess minimum of a valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License

· Must possess at least a high school diploma.

· General understanding of the entire Microsoft Office Suite, and basic email skills

· Competitive attitude and innovative nature

· Excellent communication and leadership skills

· Experience adapting to challenges, providing support, and guiding communication in a constantly changing environment

· Must always represent TCOS’ best interest, maintain the highest level of integrity and professionalism

Preferred Qualifications

· 2 years’ experience in a relevant role as a trucking and/or transportation manager

· Class A Commercial Driver’s License

· College Degree

· Snow removal and or excavation/paving experience a plus

Physical Demands

· Candidate must have a valid DOT medical card, also known as a health card

· Alternate between walking, standing, sitting, and crouching for extended periods of time

· Substantial movements (motions) of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers

· Close visual acuity to perform activity such as: preparing and analyzing dates and figures and viewing a computer screen

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
