What are the responsibilities and job description for the LPN/Medical Assistant .8-1.0 FTE position at Twin Ports Dermatology?
Our Hibbing location is expanding, and we’re looking for a Clinical Assistant to join our team! If you’re a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), we want to hear from you.
As a Clinical Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting our providers and ensuring a high-quality patient experience. We foster a collaborative, team-oriented environment where professionalism, compassion, and respect are at the heart of everything we do.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Room patients, review and update health information, and document visit details.
- Medical Documentation: Transcribe office and procedure notes in EMA (electronic medical records).
- Procedure Assistance: Support providers during in-office procedures.
- Patient Communication: Provide clear, detailed post-visit summaries, including wound care and treatment plans.
What We’re Looking For:
- Active CMA or LPN certification/license (required).
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification or ability to obtain within three months of hire.
- Experience preferred, but not required—we’re willing to train the right candidate!
- Strong communication, time management, and attention to detail.
- Computer proficiency and a willingness to learn clinic-specific systems.
- Ability to occasionally provide coverage at our Duluth, MN office.
