What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Analyst position at Twin Rivers Paper Company?
The ideal candidate will be responsible for using their analytical mindset to analyze and interpret financial data, then relating it to potential business trends and issues. This candidate will feel comfortable using insights they have discovered to communicate important themes and discoveries to company leadership.
Responsibilities
- Actively supports and promotes safe work practices throughout the mill by being present at safety activities and encouraging safe behaviors.
- Monthly consolidations and maintaining PP&E and depreciation records.
- Ensures preparation and review of monthly journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Assist in the development of the annual business plan, monthly forecasts, and weekly updates.
- Attends staff meetings as required and participates in other meetings such as safety and vendor performance.
- Aids in special projects, ad hoc analysis and develops and implements financial and operational reports as necessary.
- Other administrative/accounting duties as required.
- Shall have an awareness of the Food Safety Policy, GMP’s, HACCP principles and Food Safety Standard
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, or Finance or equivalent experience
- 1 - 3 years' financial analysis and modeling experience
- Advanced knowledge of Excel
