We are seeking a friendly and attentive Front Desk Agent to join our hotel team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a vital role in ensuring their stay is comfortable and enjoyable. Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in guests, handling room assignments and ensuring a smooth transition to their stay
- Manage guest inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns promptly and professionally
- Handle guest services, including taking messages, making reservations, and providing recommendations for local attractions and amenities
- Operate the front desk, including checking guests in and out, processing payments, and handling cash and credit transactions
- Utilize the hotel's phone systems to take and make calls, as well as assist with voicemail and email correspondence
- Maintain the front desk area, ensuring it is clean and organized, and restocking supplies as needed
- Perform night audit duties, including balancing the front desk cash register and completing administrative tasks
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of hotel operations, policies, and procedures
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless guest services and a positive experience
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by providing personalized and attentive service
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Prior experience in the hospitality industry, preferably in a front desk or guest services role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with guests from diverse backgrounds
- Strong phone etiquette and experience with phone systems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask with ease
- Proficiency in Spanish or other languages is a plus
- Familiarity with hospitality management systems and hotel operations
- Ability to maintain a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
