Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements list ed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. - Education and/or Experience: Must have knowledge of teaching golf skills, rules, and etiquette.
- Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, curriculum, policy/procedure manuals, and financial documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from members and non-members of the YMCA. Ability to verbally communicate effective instructions to program participants and other staff members.
- Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Playing experience at the high school level and First Tee Assistant Coach and/or First Tee Level One Coaching certifications are highly desired and encouraged to be acquired within the first 6 months of employment. CPR/AED/First Aid for infant, child and adult, Blood borne Pathogens, and other training as assigned.
- Other Skills and Abilities: Must have competence on a computer and in communication via email and phone. Must be able to operate and maintain lawn equipment and golf carts.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, may frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific hearing and vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee primarily works in outside weather conditions.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but at times loud.
