Position:
As a key member of the Networks & Engineering team, you’ll work under the guidance of the Head of Planning to deliver Strategic Network Solutions. Your focus will be on high-level design of Transport/IP Networks to support migration/grooming activities — helping to modernize legacy telecom infrastructure with minimal customer disruption.

We are looking for experienced SDH/SONET/DWDM/IP Strategic Design Engineers in the US, The successful candidates will have worked on large scale deployment and migration projects to join our team on a multi-year Project.
The Strategic Design Engineer must have the ability to Design and execute solutions to enable migration of SDH/DWDM/Sonet/IP Networks and services residing on Legacy/Multiple Vendor platforms to strategic technologies and platforms.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute high-level strategic Designs to support migration and grooming plans.
- Design Strategic and Tactical solutions for transitioning legacy Sonet/DWDM/IP platforms multiple vendors
- Topology changes on Ring Configurations
- Conduct circuit audits and inventory assessments
- Perform access tail/vendor audits and data analysis
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams (Fibre, DWDM, IP, Field)
- Identify existing capacity to enable groom, migration activities
- Plan new Gig/10G/100G paths over DWDM infrastructure
- Identify capacity requirements and site-specific solutions
- Ensure compliance with company policies (Quality, Health & Safety, Environment, Information Security)
- Respond to reasonable ad hoc requests aligned with role capabilities
- Strong understanding of SONET, DWDM, OTN
- Strong Understanding of IP Networks
- Experience with circuit and inventory audits
- Proficiency in data analysis and migration strategy development
- Ability to Disect/Design highly complex ROADM’s with multiple degrees
- Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Familiarity with Pro(Granite)/TIRKS Inventory systems (preferred)
