Your role in themission :

Type One Energy areseeking a highly skilled and motivated Patent Agent to join ourIntellectual Property team. The Patent Agent will be responsiblefor drafting and prosecuting patent applications conductingpatentability and freedomtooperate analyses and supporting theoverall IP strategy of the company.

The idealcandidate will have a strong background in physics or a relatablefield alongside experience in patentprosecution

• Draft and prosecute patentapplications in the US and foreignjurisdictions.
• Conduct prior art searches andanalyze patentability of inventions.
• Prepareresponses to office actions from patentoffices.
• Work closely with Engineers andScientists to understand inventions and provide guidance on IPmatters.
• Conduct freedomtooperate analyses andprovide opinions on potential patentinfringement.
• Assist in the development andmanagement of the companys patentportfolio.
• Collaborate with outside counsel onvarious patentrelated matters.
• Stay currentwith changes in patent laws andregulations.
• Provide training and guidance tostaff on intellectual property issues.
• Supportlitigation and enforcement activities asneeded.

Whatyoullneed :

• Ph.D inPhysics or a related field.
• Registration withthe United States Patent and Trademark Office(USPTO).
• Minimum 35 years of experience inpatent prosecution preferably in a law firm or corporatesetting.
• Strong understanding of US andforeign patent laws and procedures.
• Excellentwritten and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problemsolvingabilities.
• Proficiency in usingpatent databases and researchtools.
