Description
The Full Time Maintenance Worker reports to and supports the Director of Property and Maintenance. This position performs maintenance and mechanical duties for Typical Life’s residential homes, buildings, and equipment and helps manage the vehicle fleet. The workday will consist of driving to multiple locations to perform small jobs, general home maintenance, and repairs. These daily tasks will require an understanding and usage of common hand and power tools. Maintenance workers must be familiar with and adhere to all work environment safety equipment and practices. Past work experience in general maintenance is a plus.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Education: High School Degree or GED
Age: Eighteen years of age or older
Ability to Drive: Valid PA Drivers license
Clearances: Act 13 and 33 clearances
Health: Certification from a licensed independent practitioner that the person is free of contagious disease.
Skills Required and Physical Demands
Capable of travel to various locations in the community.
Superior judgment and reasoning
Daily physical demands of general house maintenance.
Physical Requirements
Necessary skills/requirements to perform task examples may include but are NOT limited to:
MUST be able to lift and/or move at least 50 lbs.
Basic plumbing, electrical, painting, drywall repair, appliance repair, groundskeeping, snow removal, customer service, time management, and other job-related duties as assigned
