Tasks: Skilled positions involve the use of knives, hooks, and the proper wearing of PPE. These positions require physical labor, including standing for extended periods (up to eight hours or more) at a table or elevated platform, and/or working on a moving table or chain. The work environment may vary, with conditions that can be cold, hot, or humid. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation. Must be willing and able to work on a moving chain or table and in both hot and cold environments. Skilled positions require the ability to work with knives and hooks. The role includes pushing, lifting, and pulling weights up to 80 lbs., and the use of physical force when pushing, pulling, and lifting. Candidates must be willing to use and properly wear all required PPE and stand for 8 hours per shift. Former Tyson employees are subject to a 180-day waiting period for rehire. Requirements: Must have 1 month prior experience in a meat processing facility. Experience in one of the following jobs is preferred: HARVEST: 1st Legger, 2nd Legger, 1st Butter, 2nd Butter, Low Backer, Head Dropper, Gullet Raiser, Split Saw Operator, Gutter. PROCESSING: Pull Clod, Bone Chuck, Bone Arm, Bone Rib, Pull Tenders, Pull 13th Rib, Pull Finger/Button Bones, Bone Tops, Seam Rounds.
