U.S. Legal Support is seeking an HR Operations Specialist to provide essential support to our Human Resources department. This role will focus on benefits administration, reporting and analysis, compliance, record-keeping, and other key HR functions while delivering excellent customer service support to employees and internal teams.
Location: Houston, TX (Greenspoint)
Hybrid schedule - Must be willing to be In-office 2 days per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the initial point of contact for HR-related inquiries, providing exceptional customer service and directing employees as needed
- Administer HRIS processes, including new hires, rehires, terminations, and system updates
- Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Prepare HR reports and analyze employment-related data
- Assist with government reporting, including EEO compliance and ACA requirements
- Support the annual benefits open enrollment process and address employee questions
- Handle employment verifications and communicate background check statuses to applicants
- Interpret and explain HR policies, procedures, and employment regulations
- Maintain HR documents, including organizational charts and employee handbooks
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of Human Resources experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now is a plus
