This person will be responsible for managing facilities, equipment, and personnel to manufacture medical device products in a way that ensures a safe workplace, complies with established standards and procedures (e.g., cGMP and SOPs), drives growth, and optimizes and improves the manufacturing process. Key Responsibilities: Designs manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for equipment installation. Designs arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure most efficient and productive layout. Adapts machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions. Ensures processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations. Develops user and design requirements, selects equipment vendors, or completes the technology design and equipment build. Manages the installation of automation systems while ensuring safety, and validating the automated system for adherence to requirements, CGMPs, and intended system operation. Supports Automation Technicians in situations where troubleshooting or technology may fall outside of their area of expertise. Interacts with production supervisors/managers to identify areas to improve equipment throughput, flexibility, quality, safety, and/or reliability. Implements automation solutions resulting from MNC investigations or CAPA assignments. Plans and executes engineering project work with minimal supervision. Troubleshoots equipment/process control systems and change control activities. Programs PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, and inspection systems. Manages small capital projects. Designs and implements modifications to the existing manufacturing equipment that will improve the operational efficiencies.
