This Infusion RN position requires expert written/verbal communication and critical thinking skills in the delivery of oncology and non-oncology infusion therapy and related services (clinical trials, labs, dressing changes, injections and so forth). Using the nursing process, the Infusion RN ensures patient safety, symptom management and patient/family education in a fast-paced outpatient infusion center. This position requires the ability to proactively anticipate and respond to urgent medical emergencies. This position will receive training in clinical trials. This position requires commitment to teamwork and engagement in sustaining our commitment to a healthy work environment.
Autonomous nursing care is the ability of a nurse to assess and provide nursing actions as appropriate for patient care populations based on competence, professional expertise, and knowledge. The nurse is expected to practice autonomously consistent with ANA Standards of Practice and Professional Performance. Independent judgment is expected to be exercised within the context of interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approaches to patient care.
While not required, a cover letter is highly recommended when applying to this position.
Minimum Qualifications
Annual Full Pay Range: $131,335 - $184,078 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $62.90 - $88.16

Minimum Qualifications
- Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing.
- Current California RN license.
- BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date.
- ONS Chemotherapy and Biotherapy certification with recent experience (within the last 6 months).
- Minimum one (1) year of recent (within the last 6 months) oncology infusion center or acute care oncology experience, with experience infusing cancer-directed therapy. BMT and Clinical trial experience is highly preferred.
- Must have proven independent thinking, decision making, problem solving, and prioritizing skills.
- Must be able to function in a fast-paced environment, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and consistently demonstrate empathy and kindness to all staff and patients.
- BSN.
- Recent infusion center experience.
- BMT experience.
- Clinical Trials Infusion experience.
- OCN certification.
- Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
- Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
- Must be able to work at least 3 weekend days a month.
- Selected candidates may be hired at the CNIII level pending review and approval by the Nurse Executive Council.
