Position Title: Project Coordinator - IYIP

Reports to: Senior Project Manager
Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Senior Project Manager for Workforce Services, the Program Coordinator for Illinois Youth Investment Program (IYIP) develops, coordinates and implements a variety of job placement and work-based learning activities for program participants, including managing assessment for job readiness, career exploration, navigation, coaching and/or counseling and job preparation skills training.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Assist with setting goals for performance and deadlines in ways that comply with company’s plan and funder’s contractual obligations.
- Develop relationships with training partners.
- Assist with the coordination of internal and external recruitment services.
- Coordinates and conducts eligibility, intake, and assessment related services.
- Ensure case management related tasks are completed.
- Ensure Illinois Worknet database program requirements are being completed by case managers and career specialists.
- Run reports from the Illinois Worknet System and reconcile with files.
- Assist with guiding Illinois Youth Investment team through day-to-day activities
- Complete necessary reports.
- Coordinates and implements hiring fairs and recruitment events.
- Coordinate self-sufficiency events i.e Dress for Success, Career Explorative, etc.
- Participate in funders and partnering training providers meetings.
- Targets client needs to increase employment outcomes, including consistent employment for those who are sporadically employed and employment skills for those with little or no work
- Counsel clients around issues of job readiness, job and vocational training, job search and adjustments to new jobs and work-life.
- Track all job placements and retention.
Salary : $37,400 - $47,400
