DescriptionThe UCLA Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital is seeking to hire a part-time Child Care Center Assistant for the Department of Psychiatry. You will assist program nurses and unit activities and lead therapists wit therapeutic activities. Primary duties include: * Implementing behavioral and skill development programs in individual or small group situations * Implementing behavioral management programs for each patient * Providing appropriate feedback to patients determined by teacher or lead therapists * Setting and enforcing appropriate limits on patients’ social and emotional behavior in the classroom through standard classroom management techniques * Instructing patients in basic developmental or academic skills, employing materials, and curriculum methods * Assisting with instructing patients in basic self are and daily living skills such as toileting, self feeding, hygiene, and dressing skills * Implementing various recreational or socialization activities with patients on the unit * Completing weekly patient’s progress notes Salary: $20.38/hr - $23.21/hr
