Our Santa Monica Hospital is seeking to hire a Research Assistant to join our Orthopaedic Surgery Department. You be part of our research team focused on characterizing translational regenerative medicine approaches for the treatment of orthopaedic/musculoskeletal injuries. Primary duties include:
- Managing lab equipment and supplies (inventory and maintenance)
- Maintaining appropriate records of cell lines, samples, and nitrogen tanks
- Storing and disposing chemical and biological waste
- Assisting with preparation of equipment for survival surgeries
- Assisting with vivo fluorescence and bioluminescence imaging
- Participating in weekly lab meetings
- Performing data collection, analysis, and quality checks
- Maintenance of mouse colonies
Please note: this is a 6 month limited position that may convert to career
Salary range: $25.75/hr - $30.71/hr
