What are the responsibilities and job description for the Safety Care Trainer position at UCP of Maine?
Do you like to teach? Needed 1-4 days a month of help to assist our current Safety Care training Staff. Training Certification will be provided.

Training Duties
- Provides new hire and recertification training on SafetyCare, ensuring compliance with training requirements and on-going monitoring of the overall training program to ensure its effectiveness.
- Works with Human Resources to improve the quality and effectiveness of the training programs at UCP that the trainer is involved in.
- Review participant feedback, making adjustments to approach as appropriate.
- Develop, organize, conduct and evaluate training programs delivered.
- Prepare, organize and distribute training materials as appropriate.
- Attend quarterly Trainer meetings.
- Minimum of a High School Diploma.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively present to small and large groups.
- Ability to work as a member of a collaborative team as well as independently as assigned.
- A valid State of Maine driver’s license, reliable transportation with proof of registration and insurance and be willing to use his/her reliable transportation for work.
- Good physical skills, be able to squat, stoop/bend, kneel, climb stairs, be able to lift at least 20 pounds and push and pull against potential resistance.
- Adequate vision, reading skills, writing and documentation skills and hearing to perform the essential functions of the job.
- Ability to maintain assigned work hours, having sufficient endurance to perform tasks over long periods of time.
- Willingness to travel to all UCP sites to provide training as assigned.
