Job Summary
We are seeking a seasoned Tax Director to join our firm with eligibility for non-equity partnership in the Firm. This role is designed for a seasoned CPA who provides advanced technical expertise, serves as a trusted advisor to clients, and plays a key role in mentoring staff and shaping the firm’s tax practice. You would function as a firm leader while focusing primarily on client service, technical oversight, and people development.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and review federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts
- Provide technical leadership and oversight for complex tax engagements
- Review and advise on advanced tax planning strategies
- Serve as a trusted advisor to key clients and manage high-level client relationships
- Lead, mentor, and develop managers and staff
- Assist with practice management, workflow planning, and process improvement
- Participate in business development efforts and client growth initiatives
- Monitor tax law changes and guide firm-wide implementation.
Qualifications
- CPA license required
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related degree, master’s degree preferred
- 8–10 years of public accounting tax experience
- Deep technical expertise in individual, partnership, and corporate taxation
- Proven experience managing client relationships and leading teams
- Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills
- Experience with firm growth initiatives or advisory services preferred
Pay: From $175,000.00 per year
