Udall Shumway PLC, a highly reputable firm in the east valley, has an immediate opening for a Litigation Legal Assistant. We are looking for an organized self-starter with a minimum of 2 years litigation experience, preferably in a private law firm setting. This position will encounter various practice areas; therefore, the ideal candidate should have broad knowledge of the litigation process. The ideal candidate must also have exceptional oral and written communication skills along with stellar attention to detail. They must be a team player, have a positive attitude, and a polite professional demeanor.
Responsibilities
This duties for this position will include but are not limited to the following: answering phones, organizing files, calendaring, document preparation and management, telephone and e-mail communications, coordination of court filings, opening and closing files, and various other administrative tasks. Must be dependable, efficient, open to feedback, tech savvy, have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), and enjoy working closely with clients, other support staff, and attorneys.
Qualifications
· A minimum of 2 years of litigation experience required.
· Proficient with online filing for all Arizona State courts.
· Experience filing with Federal courts.
· Proficient in docketing and calendaring pursuant to Arizona and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.
· Tech savvy and advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office.
· Displays excellent oral and written communication.
· Exhibits exceptional client relation skills.
· Must be very comfortable working in a paperless environment and handling electronic files.
· Familiarity with document management software and time/ billing software preferred but not required.
