Data Engineer I | Data & Analytics | Days

Under the supervision of the Enterprise Director Data and Analytics, the Data Engineer-I builds the ETL Processes using SQL and stored procedures. The Engineer is responsible for building data dashboards using Tableau. The role includes building processes for integrations/data extracts from various applications and solutions and Clinical information from Healthfully, SQL Server, Enterprise Data Warehouse). The Data Engineer-I also provides data management design, development and support for both business report writing and automation of the EDW processes using Wherescape and SSRS. Monitor the jobs of the EDW and Wherescape, monitor the jobs for PFM and SSRS reports and Tableau Dashboard refreshes.

• Creates Stored Procedures, Views and Functions for clinical reports for deployment on Reporting Services, Tableau and vendor requested extracts. Creates/manages and updates the Wherescape EDW Job monitoring routines.
• Manages and creates innovative data transfer solutions using SSIS and other Integration technologies.
• Optimizes existing database objects as necessary to maximize query performance. Provides troubleshooting and support for Quality tools like MDSTAT and Vizient SE.
• Helps to manage Enterprise Data Warehouse including creating database scripts and ETL scripts to normalize data from incoming systems in collaboration with ETL and Data Engineers.
• Develops design documents as needed and assists/guides quality checking/validation process.
• Troubleshoots inconsistencies with data and data collection and makes recommendations for more consistent document entry requirements to ensure data integrity
• Optimizes existing reports for business related systems.
• Provides/develops and maintain business office revenue cycle operation procedures like MedMetrix and other Revenue cycle adhoc requests.
• Can create dashboards in Tableau for presentations to Hospital Executives. Create dashboards and data structures and processes for measuring Readmissions/Hospital Acquired Conditions and other quality measures.
• All other duties as assigned by department.

Upon hire, employee must reside in the state of Florida.  Out of state remote arrangements are unavailable.  Relocation assistance is NOT provided for this opportunity. This position requires in-office work in full-time and hybrid accommodations. 

Bachelor's Degree in Informatics, Public Health, or Related Field is required.

Preferences:
Experience building data marts and ETL processes that fetch data from diverse data sources and display using Tableau. Experience with SQL Server/BI/EDW and tools like Tableau/Alteryx.
ETL experience in an Enterprise Data warehouse environment.

Experience in performing data analysis and creating tables in SQL Server.
Build automated ETL processes to load the tables and refresh the dashboards.
Build data structures to support the models and automation of the processes.
