The Senior Human Resources Business Partner leads and manages complex senior-level multi-disciplined Human Resources (HR) initiatives and projects, including those with a focus on senior-level business partnerships, organizational design, employee relations, performance management, data-driven people analytics and reporting, and people-focused organizational and process transformation. This position influences organizational talent effectiveness by serving as a senior-level HR strategist, business partner, and analyst in reviewing, analyzing, and reporting HR-related data to identify trends and recommending solutions to business partners for effective people strategies. With a focus on service, this position also serves as a consultative thought partner to business leaders to design, build, and execute strategic and comprehensive people-centered solutions as well as align business objectives and HR programs to facilitate the business partner’s ability to achieve business goals and UFCU’s strategic objectives while maintaining organizational culture.
The Senior Human Resources Business Partner reports to the Director of Human Resources and manages the Human Resources Business Partner.

Essential Functions
Human Resources Strategic Business Partner
- Serve as a senior-level HR Business Partner, strategist, and consultant, with a focus on high touch and high level of service.
- Serve as a thought partner to business leaders to design, build, and execute strategic and comprehensive people-centered solutions as well as align business objectives and HR programs to facilitate the business partner’s ability to achieve its business goals and UFCU’s strategic objectives, while maintaining organizational culture.
- Leverage strong business acumen and analytical skills in partnering with business leaders to understand their business strategies and organizational needs, and align and execute people-related strategies, resources, and tools to maximize and drive results in support of their business needs.
- Consult with business leaders, including identifying needs, developing action plans, identifying deliverables, and presenting results and recommendations.
- Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with all levels of leadership; and proactively design, lead, execute, and assess effective and impactful employee relations and performance management strategies in partnership with business leaders.
Human Resources Strategic Project Management
- Lead complex senior-level multi-disciplined HR initiatives and projects, including those with a focus on senior-level organizational design, workforce planning, senior-level business partnerships, data-driven people analytics and reporting, and people-focused organizational and process transformation.
- Partner with business leaders to identify organizational and departmental people needs, opportunities, business requirements, and impact, and design and implement effective solutions.
- Identify business requirements and opportunities to enhance HR programs, processes, and technologies, and design and implement initiatives and solutions that enhance HR program and process optimization and delivery.
- Identify and lead the implementation of HR strategies and best practices throughout the organization as needed.
Human Resources Strategic Data Insights and Analytics
- Serve as a senior-level HR business analyst and strategist in reviewing and analyzing people-related data and analytics to identify trends and recommend solutions for effective people strategies.
- Develop, assess, and present dynamic HR analytics models and insights for executive level reporting and recommendations. Condense extensive information into concise, executive-level briefs for effective decision making. Discern patterns, themes, and connections in data and to leverage in assessment and design work.
- Benchmark Best in Class Human Resources practices, and refine and customize them for UFCU’s culture.
Human Resources Leadership
- Manage HR Business Partner, and provide direction and oversight to ensure alignment of strategic and operational HR initiatives.
- Engage, develop, and manage HR Business Partner on job results with an emphasis on coaching and developing to achieve career and performance goals.
- Provide leadership to HR Business Partner and cross-functional stakeholders based on servant leadership principles, caring for the whole person.
- Serve as a role model in transparent communication, two-way dialogue and proactive communication.
- Demonstrate UFCU leadership standards through support for our culture, values, and behavioral expectations.
- Partner with organizational and departmental leadership to influence and facilitate change, implement strategy, and accomplish objectives.
Human Resources Operations
- Assist with the development, administration, and analysis of detailed multi-disciplined HR budgets and forecasts based on predictive modeling, vendor and contract analysis, and business projections.
- Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with vendors, as needed.
- Assist with the oversight to consolidated HR contracts management to monitor renewals, ensure effectiveness of contracts, and ensure stewardship of UFCU’s financial investment in HR-related contracts.

Experience
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field. Four (4) years of related experience may be substituted for degree.
- A minimum of five (5) years of senior-level HR Business Partner experience in a high touch, high service environment.
- Demonstrated in-depth experience and proven knowledge of multi-disciplines of HR, including employee relations, performance management, employment law, HR strategic planning, end-to-end employee lifecycle management, organizational design, process design for operational excellence, and technical aspects of HR.
- Demonstrated senior-level employee relations experience and in serving as a trusted advisor to the executive and senior leadership level.
- Proven track record of strong leadership skills in coordinating and facilitating talent management strategies with functional business partners and colleagues, and working with various levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated experience preparing and delivering effective senior-level presentations, and building a narrative based on collection and analysis of data.
- Demonstrated experience in using sophisticated visualization tools and data management to inform decision making.
- Demonstrated experience and proven knowledge of regulatory, federal, state and local laws which govern employment policies and practices.
- Must be bondable.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree.
- Senior Professional Human Resources-related certification.
- A minimum of 10 years of senior-level HR Business Partner experience.
- A minimum of seven (7) years of demonstrated strong leadership and supervisory experience of multi-disciplined HR professionals.
- Demonstrated experience developing and administering detailed HR-related budgets and forecasts utilizing predictive modeling.
- Credit union or financial industry experience.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish.
