Nursing Assistant Emergency Department, UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital United Health Services is seeking a Nursing Assistant Emergency Department to join our Emergency Department 03 department at UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital in Norwich, NY. This position is benefits eligible. Shift: Night Hours per week: 36 Salary range: $16.67 - $24.61 per hour, depending on experience. Nursing Assistant Emergency Department / Overview Performs basic patient care under supervision of the Registered Nurse and maintains the patient care and unit environment consistent with the policies, procedures and practices of the Nursing Division and United Health Services. Promotes a caring and healing environment for patient-centered care. Key Responsibilities and Expectations Education/Experience Minimum Required: High School Diploma or equivalent Preferred: Completed a Nurse’s Aide program Previous hospital or health care experience License/Certification Minimum Required: CPR Certification within 3 months of hire Preferred: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Work Environment Work is performed in an office environment and patient care areas which require working in proximity to other employees and patients. Rooms are air conditioned and heated. Frequent walking, standing, bending and lifting. Fast paced environment with frequent interruptions. Exposure to equipment cleaning solutions and disinfectants. PPE (Eyewear, Masks, Face shields, Shoe covers, and Gloves) as required by UHS Hospitals Infection Control policies.
