What are the responsibilities and job description for the Charge Nurse (RN) Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Full Time Days position at UHS?
Charge Nurse on PCU assumes shift responsibility and accountability for planning and providing direct/indirect nursing care to patients, families, and appropriate others under the direct supervision of the Nursing Director. Coordinates multi-disciplinary team members, directs and educates other nursing personnel to provide and facilitate optimal health care outcomes in accordance with MMH policies and procedures, standards and philosophy. Ability to integrate nursing theory into practice using nursing process. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to problem-solve and work effectively with patients, families, staff and physicians. Ability to plan and organize work. Ability to work independently and in teams. Ability to plan, organize and direct the activities of others. Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program. BSN preferred. | Minimum of one year full time or three years part time experience in acute care specialty nursing. One to three years supervisory experience preferred. |
BLS (current upon hire) | ACLS, PALS, NIH and/or required specialty training or course completion (current upon hire). |
Current state nursing license. | Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility. |
