The Clinical Program Manager reports to the Director of Clinical Services and provides clinical oversight to the adult campus of La Amistad Behavioral Health Services (LABHS). La Amistad’s adult program is a voluntary treatment facility with three levels of care: residential, PHP and IOP. La Amistad has been an industry leader in behavioral health for over fifty years, and is fortunate to enjoy one of the lowest staff turnover rates, compared to other RTC facilities, within Universal Health Services (parent company). Clinically, LABHS specializes in treating trauma, mood disturbances, substance use disorders and thought disorders.
The Clinical Program Manager puts the needs of the client first, and models/manages a multidisciplinary team. This position supervises full-time/prn therapists, interns, mental health techs, wellness coordinators, and program coordinators. The Program Manager works closely with the Director of Clinical Services related to programming, policy needs, treatment effectiveness and efficiencies between disciplines.
Ideal candidates will have demonstrated progressive clinical responsibilities/positions in the area of behavioral health and have experience with inpatient/residential settings. Additionally, ideal candidates will have specialties related to substance abuse, trauma and effective management of clinical staff.
Qualifications
Essential Functions:
- Serve as an on-site builder of culture and effective leader
- Provide leadership, through partnership support to the Medical, Clinical, and Support teams ensuring that all organizational systems, policies and practices reflect core values
- Oversee and adjust client curriculum to meet best practices and 'evidenced based' programming
- Understands and works to ensure administrative benchmarks are achieved: therapist case-loads, staffing ratios, PTO coverage, hiring assessments and initiatives, clinical coverage as needed, and program development
- Establish operational benchmarks and resources needed to achieve strategic goals, proactively driving improvements as necessary; work in collaboration with the Director of Clinical Services to set standards of accountability and clearly defined measurements of success
- Ability to manage administrative responsibilities with a minimal case-load (2 – 4 clients) as needed
- Must have an active Florida license (LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, PsyD/PHD in Psychology)
- Must have a Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, counseling or other related field
- Experience working in residential/acute settings
- Must be a Qualified Supervisor in the State of Florida for registered therapist interns
- Track record of increased responsibility/leadership within a clinical system
- 5 years of professional experience with at least 2 years of clinical management experience
