What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hospital Social Worker (MA/MSW) position at UHS?
The Social Worker provides clinical social work services on units as assigned in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Centennial Peaks Hospital. The Social Worker is responsible for psychosocial assessments, individual, group and family therapy, participation in treatment team planning, processing commitments, and discharge planning/case management service, crisis intervention and liaison services with referral sources and other departments within the hospital.
Supervision towards licensure available.
This is a salaried, full-time, 32 hour/week position.

Qualifications
- The ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment is critical.
- Master's degree in social work, Clinical/Counseling Psychology or social services related field required, licensure preferred.
- 1 to 2 years mental health experience preferred. Prior experience working with a psychiatric mental health inpatient setting preferred.
- License eligible degree required; must be able to register with DORA and be willing to work towards LCSW, LMFT or LPC if not already licensed.
- Knowledge of case management, discharge planning, group leadership skills, age specific growth and development, crisis and behavior management, family therapy theory and practice is preferred.
- Social Workers must demonstrate flexibility for reassignment to units providing care to varied populations including, adults, adolescents, and dually diagnosed patients in an inpatient hospital setting.
