MGR - DIETARY/FOOD SVCS

Located on 20 acres of rolling hills in a rural setting, about 45 minutes from Nashville, Tennessee, Oak Plains Academy offers psychiatric residential treatment services to children and adolescents ages 7–17, struggling with emotional and behavioral issues. The Oak Plains Academy campus features a full-size gymnasium, separate academic building, and four dormitories. Our wooded campus provides an excellent opportunity for outdoor recreational activities such as fishing, hiking, softball and basketball. 

We are seeking people who want to make a difference as a Dietary Manager on our Dietary Team!  The Dietary Manager is responsible for all aspects of the dining facilities operation, which includes cooking and preparing foods, washing dishes and pots and pans, cleaning the kitchen and the dining room as well as monitoring, inventorying and storing groceries.  The Dietary Manager is the supervisor and provides training, coaching and counseling.  The Dietary Manager will be able to understand the recipes that are used, as well as the directions and guidance given by the Dietitian and others as needed.  All dietary personnel will have the inherent duty of serving patients and staff members on a daily basis.

REQUIREMENTS:

• G.E.D/HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA
• Experience in quantity cooking required, at least two (2) years strongly preferred
• 21 years of age, with a valid drivers license
• Flexible schedule
• Food service sanitation and ServSafe certification preferred
