JOB SUMMARY

As a Technology Specialist on the IT Support Services team, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance to computer system users. In addition, in this role, you will be a resource for Associate Technology Specialists.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Answer user inquiries regarding computer software or hardware operation to resolve problems

• Read technical manuals, confer with users, or conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems or to provide technical assistance and support

• Refer major hardware or software problems or defective products to vendors or technicians for service

• Enter commands and observe system functioning to verify correct operations and detect errors

• Install and perform minor repairs to hardware, software, or peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications

• Work is conducted in a professional office environment with minimal distractions
  

Physical demands

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and performing work in front of a computer screen for long periods of time

• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time

Required education and experience

• High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)

• 1 years in relevant position
