- Oversee the daily operations of UIC Car Rental, including supervision of staff, scheduling, and ensuring adequate coverage.
- Manage customer service activities such as vehicle check-ins and check-outs, addressing inquiries, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Maintain and operate rental systems, including credit card machines and reservation platforms.
- Ensure all vehicles receive regular maintenance (daily, weekly, and monthly), including inspections and coordination of repairs with auto shops.
- Secure the rental vehicle fleet and monitor vehicle condition and availability.
- Accurately report daily sales to Accounting with appropriate backup documentation.
- Ensure all car rental documentation (e.g., direct billing, credit card forms, tax exemption paperwork) is properly completed, filed, and submitted.
- Attend planning meetings with the UHL General Manager and collaborate on operational needs.
- Monitor department budget and assist with preparation of quarterly tax filings as directed.
- Assist in establishing and implementing departmental policies, procedures, goals, and objectives in coordination with the UHI Manager.
- Support the planning and execution of sales promotions and marketing activities.
- Respond to 24-hour emergency callouts for car rental customers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
