A manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Print Department Manager to lead daily operations in a large‑format digital printing environment. This role oversees workflow management, scheduling, pre‑flight, quality control, and team leadership across multiple shifts.
Print Department Manager Responsibilities
- Manage daily print room operations, scheduling, and job prioritization
- Review RFQs, pre‑flight files, and BOMs
- Ensure quality, accuracy, and on‑time delivery
- Operate and oversee flatbed and finishing equipment
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate maintenance
- Manage and mentor print operators; assist with hiring and training
- Maintain inventory of print materials and control waste
- Monitor KPIs to improve efficiency and reduce scrap
- 2 years digital printing experience (required)
- Knowledge of CorelDRAW and Adobe Creative Suite (preferred)
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time‑management
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and handle large print materials
- Experience leading teams in a production environment (preferred)
- Problem‑solving and decision‑making
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Ability to multitask and work under deadlines
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting
