This isan exciting career opportunity for an energetic and enthusiastic individual to join a high performing multidisciplinary team and contribute tothe clinical, educational and research aspects of transplant anesthesia within the Department. S/he will work closely with the Chief of TransplantAnesthesiology toenhance the educational experience of residents on the rotation,developnew clinical protocolsand foster research productivity.Examples of resources available to achieve thesegoalsinclude a state-of-the-art simulation center and research nurse and coordinator support.Leadership development and other personal advancement initiatives will be encouraged and supported.
UMassHealthhas annuallyperformed more than 80 Liver transplants, over 40 kidney transplants, as well as kidney-pancreas transplants which makes usone of the busiest transplant centers in theregion. The abdominal transplant program at UMass Memorial Healthis among the best regardedin the countryand has excellent outcomes.It is specifically renown for live donor liver transplantation with minimally invasiveorganharvest.
