We are looking for an experienced and driven professional to work closely with a multidisciplinary engineering team developing flight electronics for next-generation space systems. The individual filling this position will collaborate with the electrical engineering team as a senior engineer to design, analyze, manufacture, and test electrical subsystems.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support the full life cycle of flight electronics design, analysis, manufacture, and test, as a senior member of the Electrical Engineering team
  • Lead individual subsystem design and project efforts while coordinating with relevant cross-functional stakeholders
  • Perform electrical design, including schematic, parts selection and layout, for spacecraft electronics subsystems (e.g. avionics, solar arrays, batteries, payloads, subsystems and harnessing)
  • Perform analysis to demonstrate performance, survivability and optimization of electrical designs
  • Provide guidance to junior level engineers as required
  • Other professional duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering
  • 7 year of relevant experience developing high reliability electronics hardware
  • Experience in architecture, design and test of both analog and digital electronics
  • Altium schematic capture and Layout experience
  • Experience developing in C / C and Python
  • Experience developing firmware for embedded systems (e.g. microcontrollers, FPGAs)
  • Practical experience with PCB assembly (i.e. subcontracted pick-and-place)
  • Familiarity with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, thermal chambers, and current probes
  • Familiarity with firmware relating to electronics subsystems and serial interfaces such as SPI, RS-422 and RS-485
  • Excellent communications skills, ability and desire to work collaboratively in a team environment, and willingness to guide more junior engineers as required
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced development environment

    This job posting may span more than one career level. To provide greater transparency to candidates, we share base ranges for all job postings regardless of state. We set standard base pay ranges for all roles based on function and level benchmarked against similar stage growth companies. Final offer amounts are determined by skills, responsibilities and relevant work experience.

    Salary : $126,000 - $172,000
