Job Description:
As a Grinder at Del Medical, you will play a crucial role in the fabrication process, ensuring the precision, quality, and safety of metal components used in medical imaging solutions. Your expertise in operating grinding machines and achieving the desired dimensions and surface finishes will contribute directly to our commitment to delivering high-quality products to our customers.
Responsibilities:
· Operate various grinding machines to achieve precise dimensions and surface finishes on metal components.
· Ensure adherence to specified tolerances and quality standards.
· Select appropriate grinding tools and abrasives based on material types and project requirements.
· Perform routine maintenance on grinding machines and tools to optimize efficiency.
· Inspect workpieces during and after the grinding process to ensure dimensional accuracy and surface finish quality.
· Collaborate with quality control to meet and exceed quality standards.
· Follow and promote all safety protocols and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
· Contribute to a safe and secure working environment.
· Work closely with other members of the fabrication team, including machinists, welders, and fabricators, to ensure seamless integration of components.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Grinder in a fabrication machine shop.
- Knowledge of various metals, materials, and grinding tools.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and job specifications.
- Proficiency in using measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers) to verify dimensions.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to safety procedures.
